Challenges to childrearing relationships

The scientific challenge of the programme is to study attachment and caregiving from a transgenerational and developmental perspective. Quality of attachment, caregiving and socialization contribute to the mentally (and physically) healthy functioning of children and to their participation and growth into the wider social context. Caregiving itself can be understood as an outcome of education, social experiences, and psychobiological growth.
